About

Secure in the same church facility since 1974, Hinsdale Covenant Preschool is a faith-based program. We have newly renovated bright, colorful classrooms for each age group, a brand new outdoor playground, and a full-court indoor gymnasium. Our early childhood program teaches the concepts required for the foundation of successful learning in a Christian setting.  We align our curriculum with the expectations of the area elementary schools to ensure our children are well-prepared. We foster healthy social-emotional development and encourage children to communicate constructively through play and small-group activities. Our curriculum includes monthly Bible stories and songs. Our school maintains a low student-to-teacher ratio to help achieve all this. We offer curbside drop-off and pick-up.

Team

We have an experienced staff of caring and dedicated teachers who have been together for many years. Our staff is trained annually in crisis and emergency prevention, including allergy awareness and epi-pen administration. We receive at least 15 hours each year in continuing education in Early Childhood Education. Meet the Team.

Programs

We offer morning classes for children from 2 to 5 years old, and afternoon enrichment offerings for 3 to 5 year old students. Morning classes meet from 8:45-11:15. We offer 5 days of after school enrichment offerings including academic instruction, music, art and physical development. Our academic enrichment options for 3 year old students meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays until 1:30p.m. This class includes a healthy lunch and hands-on learning experiences focused on S.T.E.A.M and Literacy instruction. We offer academic enrichment for our 4 and 5 year old students on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until 2pm to build stamina in learning and prepare our students for full day Kindergarten in D181. This class also includes a healthy lunch. All academic enrichment classes are led by our highly experienced and long time Covenant teachers. See more specifics in our “Classes” section.
